A Few Reasons why i CAN Wait for the Second Season of ’13RW’….

It’s not about the show, it’s an ongoing Netflix problem.’

’13 Reasons Why‘ was great but personally I don’t think there needs to be a second season… especially if we won’t see it for 8 plus months from now. By 2018 we’re going to have to re-watch the show, and though the topic will always been relevant, the hype/buzz about the show won’t be the same.. social media will be in a frenzy about other things.

NowI think this is the first time it has really erks me that Netflix takes FOREVER and a day to come out with the new seasons of their original shows but it defiantly isn’t the first time that we’ve fallen in love with a show, only to have to wait month or even a full year to continue on the story.

Here are some examples:

  • Jane the Virgin
  • The OA
  • Stranger things
  • A Series of Unfortunate Events
  • One Day at a Time
  • Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
  • Ultimate Beast master ( actually has a second season already filmed)

I just wanna know how these great shows continue, as I’m sure most people do. Wait times can be expected but since Netflix is such a marvel in the TV industry you’d think they’d have even better wait times between seasons but clearly not the case. There are a few conclusion as to why they take so long… Maybe they lack the power, the people and generally the budget or money to make good quality seasons in short time like our cable shows. Now, i am not confirming that’s why but it does seem like the most likely possibility.

I do think it will affect the popularity of their shows if they continue to put seasons out so far away from each other. They are missing the initial excitement generated by the first season, by the time the next one comes out it could seem like old news but then again i am patiently waiting for the second season of the OA (that show was #Bomb).
